Slow Game Club was created and is managed by Into Games, a non-profit working to improve social mobility in the UK games industry.

Into Games works locally, regionally and nationally with major UK game studios, government, trade bodies, education providers, grassroots organisations and businesses to support thousands of people across the UK. You can find out more Into Games and our work at www.intogames.org

At the start of every month, you’ll receive a Steam key (via the email address you registered with) for a new game that fits within this year’s theme - Noir & Mystery. You can then play the game and submit questions for an exclusive live Q&A with the developers of the game, which happens at the end of the month.

You can also join our Discord community of fellow subscribers, where we discuss each game (including spoilers) and host a live community ‘game chat’ calls.

At the start of each month, the process will begin again!

Monthly subscribers - When you start a subscription, the first game you will receive will be for the month after. For example, if you start a subscription in April, the first game you receive will be for May.

Annual subscribers - Whatever time of the year you start an Annual subscription, you will not only receive one game per month going forward but you will also receive an email providing you the Steam keys for all the games we have already released.

For example, if you started an Annual subscription in April, you would received an email providing you with the Steam keys for January, February, March and April as well as one for May’s game.

Twelve games are included every year, with one game being revealed and released at the start of each month. Every single game has been hand-picked to fit our 2025 theme ‘Noir & Mystery’ and they represent some of the best of the genre as well as showcasing the variety within it. Expect elements of gritty noir, unsolved mysteries, fiendish puzzles, compelling investigations and even, some other-worldy adventure!

All the games come from established, well-known and reputable game studios and publishers (like Raw Fury, Playstack, Fireshine Games and Fellow Traveller) with an average price of £19.99 and high review ratings on Steam. There are no hyper-violent or hyper-sexual games, though there are titles with PEGI ratings of 16+.

So, if you’re an annual subscriber, you’ll receive all twelve games and, if you’re a monthly subscriber, you’ll receive one per month whilst your subscription is active.

All Slow Game Club games are playable through Steam, the leading PC games platform. Each month, you will receive a ‘key’ for each game which you can redeem via the Steam store here.

You must own a PC to play all Slow Game Club games. If you are using Mac, you may be able to use third-party software to emulate the games.

Steam-compatible handheld devices (such as the Steam Deck) can be used but please note that not all games available on Steam are Verified or Compatible with them, meaning it may be difficult to play or utilise all game features on these devices.

Slow Game Club is not available for consoles.

Every month’s game will be sent to you as a Steam key. So, if you already own the game, you can give it to a friend or drop it off in the Slow Game Club Discord server for someone else to use.

There are no refunds available if you already own the game.

With twelve great, varied games every year, exclusive developer Q&As and our thriving Discord community, we believe Slow Game Club is fantastic value for money - even if it turns out that you happen to have one or two of the games already.

As well as the monthly game, there is also an exclusive Q&A with the developer of each game and a thriving Discord community you can become a part of. If you have purchased a ‘physical’ version you will also receive additional real-world Slow Game Club merch!

You’ll also be able to submit questions for the live Q&A, meaning you get exclusive access with the game’s developers and, possibly, the answers to those burning game questions only they can answer!

Also, in our lovely Discord server, we discuss and critique each game (including spoilers), host live community calls, give Slow Game Club updates and, occasionally, even drop hints about upcoming games!

Yes, it’s worldwide! The Steam game keys you will receive have no region lock, meaning they can be used from anywhere in the world.

Please note though that, while our community is global, our team is based in the UK so the exclusive developer Q&As and Discord community calls usually take place in the evening UK time.However, every developer Q&A will be recorded and available to all subscribers soon after recording. So, even if you miss the live broadcast, you’ll always have access to watch them at a time that suits you.

Yes! You can subscribe monthly for added flexibility or you can subscribe annually for even better value.
